Weenat | Predict and monitor Frost

Predict and monitor the risk of frost to better protect your crops

Spring frosts ravaged hundreds of hectares each year.

The Weenat app and frost sensor help you to optimize your strategy to combat frost and protect your harvest.

REAL-TIME MONITORING

Monitor temperature change on your plots live on the Weenat app

Monitor changes in dry temperature and wet temperature on your plots in real time. Both temperatures are measured exposed – by the frost sensor – to be as close as possible to the temperatures that your buds experience.

View the sensor data on your phone or computer… And become more responsive in activating your defense mechanisms.

24/7 ALERT PHONE

Get alerts in case of frost on your plot

This definitely isn’t our favorite feature! Thanks to Weenat’s frost alerts, you can configure the minimum safe temperature for your crops.

As soon temperatures fall below this threshold, Weenat will warn you by phone, email or text message. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

That way, you can always stay one step ahead of frost. Your crops are safe. And you can rest easy at night.

Activate your frost-protection measures at the right moment with Weenat.

The secret to forecasting and monitoring frost in your fields is our connected frost sensor.

Wet-bulb temperature probe: precise measurement of wet-bulb temperature (+0.2/–0.5 °C).

Dry-bulb temperature probe: precise measurement of dry-bulb temperature (+0.2/–0.5 °C).

With the Weenat frost sensor, it’s easier to monitor frost risk. View the evolution of dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures on your land in real time. These two temperatures are measured externally to capture the buds’ thermal sensation as closely as possible.

The Weenat frost sensor:

  • measures the external dry-bulb temperature (thermal sensation of the bud, taking into account radiation, wind effect, etc.);

  • measures the external wet-bulb temperature (thermal sensation when humidity is high);

  • increases transmission frequency when the wet-bulb temperature drops below 10 °C (the sensor transmits every eleven minutes);

  • has a multi-mounting system to install the sensor as close as possible to sensitive buds;

  • is compatible with all frost-protection mechanisms (sprinkling, heating, air mixing, etc.).

Data transmission: 4G/5G, Sigfox, LoRa
