Weenat : a decade of innovation for resilient agriculture
In 2014, Jérôme Le Roy, grandson of a farmer, faced a striking observation: agriculture was going through a period of major upheaval. Weather patterns, once reliable, were fading in the face of an unpredictable climate.
A crucial question emerged: how can we enable farmers to adapt sustainably?
From this reflection with agronomists, farmers and technology experts, Weenat was born, a company driven by a clear ambition: to give farmers the tools to anticipate, decide and act effectively through reliable, accessible and local data.
everything begins here
A simple idea for sustainable agriculture
For Jérôme Le Roy, the solution seemed obvious:

💡 “If a farmer knows precisely the state of their fields, they can make informed decisions.”
Jérôme Le Roy, President of Weenat
The adventure started with a real innovation: a connected tensiometer, coupled with an intuitive mobile application. Farmers quickly adopted this tool, and Weenat established itself as a pioneer in connected agriculture.
Since then, our offer has expanded: connected sensors, ultra-local weather, predictive tools and exploitation of various data (agricultural, climatological, territorial…).
Today, more than 40,000 professionals – farmers, land managers, industrialists, traders, and cooperatives – rely on these solutions to:
- better manage their crops,
- anticipate impacts at territorial level,
- optimize resources and meet climate challenges.

Climate challenges: data and tools for better decision-making
In agriculture, weather conditions everything. A late frost can compromise a harvest, while prolonged drought threatens the viability of farms.
Whether you’re a farmer, member of a cooperative or trading company, or an industrialist, these solutions allow you to strengthen the resilience of your operations, optimize your resources, while placing data at the heart of your decisions.
Faced with these challenges, Weenat offers a complete suite of tools:

Connected sensors
measuring real-time conditions specific to fields.
Meteo Vision
A spatialized weather solution offering precision to the square kilometer and consistent data over time.

Predictive models
to anticipate climate risks and optimize interventions.

A Weather API
to integrate Weenat data into your tools and weather models.

A mobile application
where you can easily find all your field data from sensors and models: observations, history, forecasts…
Weenat: locally rooted and future-oriented
From its manufacturing workshop in Loire-Atlantique, Weenat cultivates its values of innovation, sustainability and proximity.
Sensors designed to last
Robustness and reliability are embedded in Weenat’s DNA.
Designed to withstand the most demanding conditions – whether violent winds, prolonged humidity or extreme temperatures – these sensors guarantee accurate and constant measurements, even in the most difficult environments.
Furthermore, their modular and repairable design defies planned obsolescence. Each component can be replaced, extending their lifespan while reducing electronic waste. An approach that is both economical for users and beneficial for the environment.
With Weenat, robustness goes hand in hand with innovation, serving a more sustainable future.
A commitment to sustainable agriculture
Weenat advocates a responsible and connected vision of agriculture, supported by concrete actions:
- French manufacturing 🇫🇷, with sustainable and repairable materials.
- The creation of an innovation project “Meteoria”, whose objective is to optimize water resources throughout Europe through artificial intelligence.
- By combining agronomic expertise, data science and technological innovation, Weenat contributes to building an agriculture capable of meeting climate challenges, while preserving natural resources.

A team of experts, diverse talents
Weenat is not just sensors and data: it’s above all a team of 70 experts bringing together multidisciplinary skills to support farmers.
Each profession plays an essential role in this mission.
Meet our experts:
Agronomists: for solutions adapted to field needs
Agronomists translate farmers’ needs into concrete tools. Thanks to their expertise, sensors and predictive models offer precise recommendations, helping to optimize yields while minimizing water and input use.
Weenat agronomists don’t hesitate to put on their boots to go into the field to collect soil samples, in order to develop solutions adapted to the reality and needs of agricultural professionals.
Data scientists: to predict the unpredictable
From millions of collected data points, Weenat’s data scientists develop tools capable of providing reliable and accurate agro-meteorological data.
Farmers thus benefit from observations per square kilometer, essential for planning sowing, treatments or harvests.
Weenat sensor super-designers: for robustness and durability
Designers assemble sensors capable of withstanding the most demanding conditions. Their priority: to offer reliable, sustainable and easy-to-repair solutions, in line with more environmentally friendly agriculture. They ensure these sensors are robust and top quality, so you’re never disappointed!
Developers: at the heart of data management and valorization
Developers ensure an optimal user experience and guarantee the reliability of services offered by Weenat.
On one hand, they work on the application to offer an intuitive and practical interface, centralizing sensor data, weather forecasts and personalized alerts.
On the other hand, they ensure the processing, aggregation and quality of data from different sources. Thanks to their expertise, weather information is transformed into high-performance tools, like our weather API or our algorithms, to simplify and secure the management of farms and territories, for example.
